I got these shoes from someone recently but thought they were way too plain looking, so I set out on a quest to customize them with some sharpies and charms and miscellaneous ribbon I had in my craft drawers. Mostly sky themed (clouds, rainbows, rain, stars, etc.) because that's my favorite aesthetic, but I had to include some cat imagery as well, of course lol.

#also honestly had NO IDEA that real converse have that star logo on the INSIDE not the outer part??? why the hell would you want it on the #inner portion where nobody can see it?? my entire life I always would have sworn it was on the outer facing portion..#I think these would be perfect IF they were just slightly taller (top part higher above ankles instead of just weird hard material digging #right into your ankle whenever you walk) and if they were actual good platforms. they're so short. It's good that 'chunky' shoes are gettin #more popular as they've always been my favorite Look ever since I had these shoes with roller skates that pop out of thebottom (not heelys.#but like. before those. it was two whole entire roller skate wheels like a normal pair of roller skates) and the bottoms were so tall and #clunky and it made my feet look giant (because it had.. entire wheels in the bottom pockets lol). so #I've alwatys been into the aesthetic but . still I find a lot of the 'brands jumping on trend' are too short of platforms #OR they're plafrorms with a raised back/heel/wedge which to me is not aesthetically good and also makes them exceptionally uncomfortable to #wear compared to just plain completely flat chunky platform bottoms. ANYWAY.. if these shoes had a 3 or 4 inch platform I think they'd be #cooler. however for what they are it's still fine! and I like them more now that they actually have some sort of anything to them and #aren't just plain white. The weird thing is that the material it's made out of (maybe some sort of leather or something) absorbs sharpie?#the color changes over time. You draw a mark and then leave it for a few days and it either fades into being barely there or has changed #colors. so I had to go back in and redo parts. ALSO the shoe chains are so funny because I did NOT have the right tools for them #I don't have the stuff to make bracelets or open and close the little rings. they're held onto the shoe with just safety pins and the actua #little rung things that hold the charms on half of them are like broken or the metal is just jam smushed together bent and warped hhbjhjhb #I actually like the back a lot where there's the irridecent star thing hot glued on there. it's cool and shiny. and the clouds #are sparkly on the main parts of the shoe though I'm not sure how well it shows up in pictures #ANYWAY... shoegs..... If I were rich this is one of the things I would definitely custom order from craftsman #why would I spend like thousands of dollars on plain ass shoes that are just expensive because they're a Luxury Brand when I could literall #like pay people to create me custom shoes to my exact specifications?? I could have like 5 inch flat platform boots with fur andclouds #and cat shaped holes in the bottom with LEDs in them with pom pom and charms and etc. etc. etc. Like as gaudy and excessively over #decorated as I want lol.. AND they could have skates in the bottom somehow!! ghjgbhjb #this on top of all the custom wizard costumes and period clothing I would order.. Like i LOVE customizing things. I love everything in my l #life being as particualr as possible and cultivating every experience I have to meticulously meet my own specific criteria as much #as is possible. If I had the money to I would never buy something from a store again. EVERYTHING I owned from furniture to clothing #would be either made by me - or mostly - comissioned from craftsmen. custom tiles for my floors. custom bed. custom table.#even like. custom toilet. custom sinks. etc. etc. ouGGH... but yeah.. anyway... shoes..

the hallmark of Peak Fiction is shoehorning a very serious conversation about a very serious past conflict in an unrelated scene, in the form of snarky banter played for laughs, so that the writer can pretend they listen to audience feedback, while not needing to fully think of addressing the issue and fully sweeping it under the rug because it would be inconvenient to paint the involved characters as dumbasses/vile. Bonus points if it literally goes nowhere and it can be removed from the scene without affecting the flow of the dialogue.

And if it makes me want to eat my own bones because I feel the urge to beat the involved characters to death with a nailed bat, that's just a plus :)

one of the things about where are your boys tonight i really appreciated and, to me, seemed like the most significant thrust of the book (but never garnered much attention, imo), was the focus on the business side of things and particularly the way the many bands never saw long term success or stability or the way a lot of very young people were taken advantage of even after making their labels and handlers metric butt-tones of money and this really culminated with the discussion about paramores record deal and the inherently coercive nature of making a 14 year old sign a record deal (not even really mentioning that record deal was 20 fucking years lmao) and yet i still see people argue she was an industry plant or whatever. sorry ig one of my fatal flaws is i give child stars the benefit of the doubt considering the fundamental exploitation necessary for that position to exist or whatever

#sorry was thinking about this bc I saw some truly horrible and dismissive posts on twitter about hayleys contract #but i also think it dovetails into the general malaise that existed in the third wave that a lot of places are quick to dismiss #idk. i keep thinking about how so many ppl were taken advantage of (in the sense of predatory contracts or not getting paid victory style)#and how many are stuck in an endless loop of diminishing returns in order to be career musicians who can actually support themselves #and fundamentally this is the key linchpin in the emo nostalgia- some of the btier andlower bands Need stuff like #emo nites or wwwy to actually make a living (no matter how much you make up front a altrock hit single cannot sustain someone as livelihood)#and since touring is the only reliable way to make money. well why put significant expenses into ur new album #none of your fans care about anyway? its a pre-existing cycle. very thrash metal. but its almost worse #when you factor in shit like the fan perception of the used the canyon....#idk ive been thinking about it a lot and i dont find nostalgia circuits reprehensible bc of the fundamental indignities #of the recording industry and all its issues #but its hard to see people shit talk the third wave for being full of impressionable kids hoping to survive of their passion #like you do realize they dont sound like assholes in that circumstance for crashing and burning? right?#(esp when you add mental health and addiction into the mix- these bands were full of sick people being denied care bc it would interfere w/#the 'rawness' or authenticity or whatever the fuck. these bands were having their sadness wrung out of them for money)#anyway i think hayley williams should be allowed to hunt any and all current or former atlantic higherups for sport #my posts

I need to stop sleeping all day its giving me wild as fuck dreams

#literally had a dream that i was a 14yr old mexican boy who was kidnapped by a crime boss and worked for him #making my way up the ladders until i was his right hand man #until one day i got in an accident and the paramedic who found me stuck by me while the cops questioned me #bc like who is this kid why is he so malnourished who is meant to tale care of you #and then they were restraining me in the back of an ambulance and i was crying and trying to breathe my way out of a panic #attack and then managed to calm down and the paramedic (who looked like that guy from disco elysium. the one you play as)#started asking me questions about my life and i talked about how johnny was in charge and he wore half a black rabbit mask but upside down #so the singular ear ran down his throat. and i talked about other thing idk but then CRASH the ambulance is suddenly gone #(OH I REMEMBER. i talked about how there were these women (prostitutes) who were nice to me and would give me food and drink #that i wasnt supposed to have and they wouldnt let me drink what the men were having but thats okay it tasted nasty anyway #and how on my last mission i was shot in the leg and it delayed me a day and johnny punished me by locking me up #and i couldnt leave and i nearly starved to death that week but the women snuck me small amounts of food and drink #even tho they would have been killed if they were caught. anyway that was like two weeks ago and my leg still hadnt healed)#im tied up under the clothesline at the top of the stairs of my irl house while the paramedic is tied to a chair by the front door #johnny comes in and starts asking questions but upon receiving no answers he grabs a metal bat and breaks the paramedics knee #and im just crying and screaming for it all to stop scared out of my life and johnny asks if i want the beating instead #and the paramedic says “dont you lay a finger on him. Guess who almost died in a car crash

#It's meeeeee #Ok but no it wasn't that serious just tense for a moment. You end up shaky for sure #Can't help but think about that tweet now like 'I'll be in an accident and open Twitter first thing'#There was a snow mound on the road that was too high and my stepdad drove over it and we started. SWERWING #It went back and forth between the two sides of the road twice and in those moments #I was almost prepared that we would hit the metal banister or topple sideways but we had the best possible outcome for the circumstances #And drifted one more time instead onto the snow-covered patch of a hill on the other side of the road but turned a 180 degrees #When thinking it over we were lucky to get off the road because in any other scenario I think we would have been hit by a car behind us #And end up actually hurt #I thank the snow for giving us the first fully white Christmas in years #But now that I think about I should have gotten a picture (hard to think about when you were almost in a serious accident)#It's strange the kind of acceptance you have over events like this I knew I could do nothing about the situation except shut up #And the strange thing is that it felt like a scene out of a movie. The front shield of the car gives you only a frame to view out from #But you were looking at it from a first-hand perspective yet thinking of it as if from seeing yourself from behind. Just a bit blurred #Just. Either we crash or we make it but be prepared.#I could tell he was shaken afterwards though. He managed to save us at least #And well. Given the familial circumstances it would have almost been ironic. As if a purposefully placed timing #The strangest coincidence was that my stepdad's neighbor just happened to be driving a taxi right behind us #So he stayed with us to help us dig the car out of the snow. And drove us to get more gas after the car ended up askew on the hill #People were at least kind enough to look up on us and ask if we were okay #Anyways. I'm going to bed now

my hot take is that bouncy is horseshit and everybody just loves the chorus because every verse sounds absolutely horrible and on the rare moment that it would sound good otherwise their voices have been altered to the point of sounding like robots

#I hate auto tune being turned up to 1000 when you just KNOW the song would sound good without that metallic ringing sound #Like if you are going to alter your voice so heavily at least make it purposely so like daft punk/kanye/etc were known to do #exo lotto is a good example bc they don’t usually sound like robots but ig too many people thought they were fake or whatever #so they probably went oh fine you think we can’t sing? take this instead then. and then you listen to any of their other songs #which isn’t to say they NEVER correct their voices like Heart Attack is right there but for the most part it’s not that extreme ykno
